Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression

A gentle, targeted treatment option for disc related neck and back conditions.

A Different Approach to Disc-Related Pain

Spinal decompression uses controlled traction to gently stretch targeted areas of the spine and reduce mechanical stress on certain discs and joints.

Conditions We Treat:

  • Herniated discs

  • Bulging discs

  • Sciatica

  • Disc related neck pain

  • Disc related low back pain

  • Degenerative disc changes

  • Certain cases of nerve irritation/radicular symptoms

How Spinal Decompression Works

1. Evaluate
  • We begin with a consultation and examination to determine the likely source of your symptoms
2. Review imaging
  • X-rays and, when appropriate, existing MRI findings help us determine whether decompression is suitable and which spinal level should be targeted
3. Personalized Treatment
  • Your decompression settings are customized to the area being treated and adjusted throughout your care.

HAVE AN MRI ALREADY?

What Does Spinal Decompression Feel Like?

Patients lie comfortably on the treatment table while a harness system applies gentle, controlled traction to the targeted area of the spine. Treatment settings are adjusted based on the area being treated, patient comfort, and response. Most decompression sessions last approximately 20–30 minutes, allowing patients to remain relaxed throughout treatment.

Is Spinal Decompression Right For Me?

Not every patient with neck or back pain needs decompression. Dr. Emma or Dr. Brannon will review your symptoms, examination findings, health history, and available imaging before recommending treatment.
