What exactly is chiropractic care?Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care: Phase 1: Relief Care If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. Phase 3: Wellness Care Once your body has fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid problems in the future.

What is subluxation? To put it simply, a subluxation occurs when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position, creating pressure on or irritating spinal nerves. Spinal nerves come out from between each of the bones in your spine. Because of this pressure or irritation on the nerves, it then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves. Subluxation may lead to numbness, tingling, pain, burning in that area of the body, and also can affect everyday life. Chiropractors have known about the dangers of subluxations for over 100 years. Today, more scientific evidence is showing the dangers of subluxations and the health benefits of correcting them. To be truly healthy, it is vitally important that your nervous system be functioning free of interference from subluxations. Chiropractors are the ONLY health professionals trained in the detection, location, and correction of the subluxation. Our goal is to allow your body to return to the highest level of health possible by correcting subluxation.
