The Keto diet isn't the same as the Wheat Belly diet. Both diets are permanent lifestyle changes. Keto focuses on keeping your body in a permanent state of ketosis. Ketosis is a specific metabolic state, which occurs with a low carb diet. Keto also requires the elimination of sugars and some dairy from the diet. Eliminating starch is a goal of both philosophies. The Wheat Belly diet focuses on eliminating wheat and wheat products from the diet to lower fat production. 

Which Type of Wheat is Healthy?

The healthiest type of wheat is the wheat you decide not to eat. Wheat causes many health issues, including:

  • attention disorders
  • mental sluggishness
  • night-time cravings
  • reduction of fat-burning hormone
  • skin problems

If you don't think you can cut wheat entirely, whole wheat is the healthiest type of wheat. Healthier than that, whole grain is an excellent option if you are in a situation where you have to consume bread or cereal. Eliminate wheat and wheat products from your food, and you will reduce the fat in your visceral organs.
