Dr. Palmer didn’t know what she was in for when I walked into her office. I’m not the typical chiropractic patient. Certainly I came in with pain, but my history is quite unique.

By way of background, I served in Vietnam and since 1975 I’ve had 19 surgeries. The list of my ailments is a mile long, including a long history of arthritis and high blood sugar. I came to Dr. Palmer for relief from excruciating neck pain that no one else had been able to improve…not my internist, not the UAB Pain Clinic…no one.

After my very first adjustment, the exceedingly sharp pain I’d been living with was reduced to a dull pain. And this past Labor Day (just 7 weeks later) I had my first 3-day period with no pain in more years than I can remember.

Once Dr. Palmer was seeing progress with my neck pain issues, she started adjusting my joints which I’d long assumed were as good as they’d ever be. Imagine my joy when I suddenly had improved mobility in my arms and wrists, as well as my knees and ankles…in fact, those joints used to hurt daily, and now they are 100% pain free. For a retired man playing golf as often as I can, this is wonderful improvement!

An unexpected change I’ve seen since coming to Dr. Palmer is that my blood sugar has improved and stabilized. Also, nerves that have been on fire for years are now calming down. I admit I was a skeptic with regards to chiropractic before, but I’m a believer now!

My favorite thing about coming to Chiropractic Today is how the office runs…it’s in stark contrast to how most medical offices do. Appointments run on time, people who work and come here are genuinely happy to be here. I got a great first impression when I scouted out the office on the web, and then when I came in for the first time. And Dr. Palmer doesn’t just work you through it, she talks you through it, so I always feel like I know just what’s going on…there are no surprises. When I was asked to share my testimonial about Chiropractic Today I was more than happy to agree, because I’m absolutely convinced I wouldn’t be enjoying life to the level I am today if I hadn’t come in and started treatment with Dr. Palmer.
